RISE 2013, the Research, Innovation & Science for Engineered Fabrics Conference, will be held September 30-October 3, 2013, Grand Hyatt, Denver, Colorado USA. Organized by INDA, Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry, RISE is a one-of-a-kind technical conference for professionals in the nonwoven/engineered fabric industry who scout for new ideas, new technology, new materials and new applications to grow their business. RISE 2013 will provide an array of industry relevant topics that will keep business growth professionals on the leading edge of thought leadership. Some of the topics this year include: – Revolutionary 3D textile printing technology – Market trends that are driving innovation in nonwovens – Simple, cost-efficient RFID tagging for hygiene applications – Microfluidic-fabric interfacial technology for biofluid manipulation – Next generation nanofiber applications – New role for nanoparticles in polymer processing “RISE brings together many diverse members of the global nonwovens/engineered fabrics supply chain and those touching this dynamic area,” says Dave Rousse, INDA’s president. “There are two and a half days of thought-provoking discussions on technical innovations and practical product applications. RISE also provides many opportunities to interact in person with like-minded executives looking to advance their business.” A new feature at RISE 2013 will be a tour of the Johns Manville Technical Center to be conducted on Monday, September 30th. RISE attendees will see Johns Manville’s five specialized areas of technical services. They are internationally accredited, and equipped with modern instrumentation and very knowledgeable professionals. Space is limited and these will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. INDA will host a tour of Coors Field followed by a welcome reception Monday night for all attendees to network before RISE kicks off officially Tuesday morning. “Dine with Industry Thought Leaders” is another new networking opportunity this year at RISE and it will be held Tuesday evening. This dinner event provides RISE attendees the ability to meet with thought leaders from select areas of the value chain to learn about what is trending, fading and on the horizon. The popular RISE table-top displays will be held during a complimentary luncheon on Tuesday and complimentary reception Wednesday evening.
